Fruits of the Spirit: Faith

Galatians 5:5-6
At first glance, it seems superfluous to think of our faith as a fruit of the spirit!, Doesn’t it?
Our salvation is an act  of faith. In fact it is the most challenging of all exercises, as it reflects a belief in One that we have not seen; a change from our human nature to the nature of the One to whom we have pledged our life here on Earth, with the belief for a life in the hereafter.
The fruit of the spirit, that faith, is our daily confidence, to help us in the situations and circumstances that we find ourselves in.
This is a race that we run. Our salvation puts on the right path and sets our eyes on the etenal prize. Our faith, as a fruit of that salvation, keeps us motivated. The holy spirit is that coac, that encourager – we are gently but firmly guided by our faith to that reward!
That’s why we can exercise that faith in times of struggle when we feel we may waver, when we need healing, when we need grace. Moments when we offer forgiveness with no promise of reciprocity. Our faith carries that promise, and in that we are showing fruits of our sal
